J. Cole – 4 Your Eyez Only

The Roc Nation MC’s 4th album is officially here. No features on this one (let’s save the platinum jokes for later), but Cole did work with other producers on the LP. Vinylz, Frank Dukes, Cardiak, Nate Fox, Boi-1da, Nico Segal and others aided in the beatmaking process, showcasing a more diverse production team than what we usually see on a Cole project.

I also have a feeling that this album may be dedicated to the artist’s newborn daughter, with the “your” in the title referring to her. I definitely have to listen to the whole album though before I fully start rattling off ideas, but that’s what my gut says. What a year for hip hop!
