15 Apr REVIEW: meetVoutside x ME – meetMEoutside EP
meetVoutside and ME’s collab project is finally here. We’ve been spinning V’s music for a good minute now here at RhymeBeat, and have been looking forward to hearing this since the news dropped. Right from the jump, I was into this EP. Loved the eeire vibe on the song ‘Pretend,’ the production matched the atmosphere of V’s verse fittingly. Shoutout ME on the boards and that catchy chorus too. Track had some depth to it – the honesty and more serious tone work well.
I also enjoyed the fun nature of the second track, ‘E Minor.’ V sounded incredibly confident on here. He and ME flowed well off each other and the jazzy production bounces end to end. Those quick final strings get two thumbs up – shouts to Jee on the beat. Moving on to the final track ‘Old Sole,’ I found it to be one of the most impressive cuts to drop in V’s young career thus far. Clean as hell – ME brought it all together on the hook once more. Favorite from the EP.
Wrapping up here, I’d say first and foremost meetMEoutside showcases that each artist can pull off a collab project. Although it’s only three songs, I noticed some real chemistry between these two. If you’re looking for a fresh and quick EP, especially one that you can repeat consistently, then look no further. Shoutout The Village!
meetMEoutside drops this Friday, April 20th.
Favorite Tracks: I liked all three, baby! Old Sole my favorite though.
Rating: B (78/100)
